About
Welcome to Bo de Bernat, a delightful culinary gem nestled in the heart of L'Eixample, Barcelona. This cozy restaurant, located at Carrer del Comte d'Urgell, 27, invites you to indulge in the rich flavors of Catalunya. With its warm and welcoming atmosphere, Bo de Bernat is not just a place to eat; it's a community hub where the love for food and hospitality intertwines.
As I stepped inside, the aroma of traditional Catalan dishes enveloped me, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The reviews echo a similar sentiment, with guests praising the owners’ genuine hospitality. One customer, 'Lancelot 1148,' raved about their paella, stating it was the best they had tasted, and it’s clear that this dish is a standout at Bo de Bernat.
The menu is a celebration of local ingredients and traditional recipes, offering a perfect blend of taste and authenticity. From the crispy croquettes to the succulent oxtail that falls off the bone, every dish is crafted with care. The callos con chorizo received high praise as well, with one customer noting the tender tripe, perfectly complemented by a flavorful sauce.
While opinions on the seafood paella vary—some found it a bit salty—its warm and comforting flavors catered to the chillier days, making it a perfect choice for a cozy meal. With prices that won't break the bank, Bo de Bernat stands out for its affordability without compromising on quality. I can’t help but admire the value reflected in their offerings, as echoed by diners like 'Jay Kwok' and 'Asia Morena,' who appreciated both the rich taste and the generous portions.
The vibrant atmosphere further enhances the experience, making Bo de Bernat an ideal spot for casual dining with friends or a heartwarming Sunday brunch. Whether you’re savoring the unique omelettes or indulging in the delightful sangria, you’ll surely leave with your taste buds satisfied.
In conclusion, Bo de Bernat is a must-visit for anyone seeking authentic Catalan cuisine wrapped in a friendly ambiance. Kudos to Bernardo and his dedicated team for creating such a welcoming space where food transforms into a memory you'll cherish. With each visit, I find my way back to these heartwarming meals, eager to explore more of their delicious offerings. I look forward to my next meal at Bo de Bernat—where delightful dishes and friendly faces await.
“ I had the best paella in this restaurant. The owners are so nice and welcoming. I will definitely come back. If you are looking for great and delicious Catalunya food, this is for you ”
“ Fun little local gem of a restaurant. We walked in at 5pm hungry after a long train ride and there were lots of tables available. We tried the salad (lots of old leaves that we couldn’t eat), deep fried squids which were delicious, oxtail was nicely cooked down fall off the bone texture that i like, seafood paella was good (but not stellar). Only dish we didn’t like was the beef cheeks were a bit bland. My sangria was really strong but not sweet enough. Overall a satisfying meal at a value price ”
“ The best callos I've had in Barcelona! And the vermouth? Oomph! The steak is a great value too. But what truly makes this place stand out is its wonderfully local atmosphere. This is definitely going to be one of my go-to tapas spots. Kudos to Bernardo and his team!! ”
“ Croquettes were very tasty. The meat dish was also delicious. Paella was a little burnt and salty but was still eatable. No complaints! The server was friendly and was explaining all our queries with a willingness. ”
“ Prices very affordable compared to the rest and good service Got some croquettes and an omelette and the paella Crunchy croquettes, although the inside was a bit too mushy for my taste but I enjoyed it regardless The omelette was different to the American style and I quite like the unique flavor. Felt like the eggs tasted better with a different type of seasoning. Paella was a bit too salty, I didn't particularly enjoy it but probably a palate difference. ”
